Tokenized Securities to Distribute Dividends via Multiplier Adjustment
Binance, through its affiliate BTech Holdings Limited, will distribute dividends for its tokenized securities, bStocks, representing interests in underlying financial instruments. Holders of AAPLB and IBMB, which are classified as Certificates representing certain Financial Instruments under the Securities and Futures (Markets Regulation) Ordinance, will receive dividend payouts through a multiplier adjustment mechanism.
These bStocks are not direct ownership of the underlying shares but represent an interest held by the issuer. Consequently, bStock holders do not possess direct ownership of shares in the listed companies.
Dividend Eligibility and Trading Operations
Eligibility for the dividend distribution will be determined by holdings of AAPLB and IBMB as of a record date snapshot scheduled for August 10, 2026, at 00:00 UTC. Trading of AAPLB/USDT and IBMB/USDT pairs will continue without interruption.
Service Suspensions for Token Conversion and Deposits/Withdrawals
The Token Conversion service, facilitating 1:1 swaps between AAPL/IBM stocks and their bStock counterparts (AAPLB/IBMB), will be suspended on August 7, 2026, at 23:30 UTC. Furthermore, deposits and withdrawals for AAPLB and IBMB tokens will cease on August 9, 2026, at 23:30 UTC. Users are advised to ensure ample time for any pending AAPLB and IBMB token deposits to be fully processed before this suspension.
Resumption of Services and Dividend Crediting
Services for deposits, withdrawals, and Token Conversion related to AAPLB and IBMB will resume once the dividend distribution is complete. No separate announcement will be issued for this resumption. Users will also have the option to subscribe to recovery notifications where available.
Dividends earned from assets held in accounts other than the Spot account, including but not limited to Savings and Margin accounts, will be credited to the user’s Spot account. Binance will manage all technical aspects of this dividend distribution event for its users.
It is important to note that dividends will be subject to withholding tax deductions before reinvestment and distribution.
