Securitize CEO: Public Companies Eye Tokenized Trading

Reading time: 2 min

Securitize CEO Carlos Domingo is making a straightforward case to public companies: unlock greater liquidity and attract a wider investor base. He contends that tokenized trading offers both, making it an attractive proposition for listed firms.

Domingo’s pitch centers on tangible benefits rather than abstract blockchain concepts, emphasizing increased liquidity, expanded global investor access, and enhanced shareholder engagement. “Nobody publicly traded will say no,” he stated.

His communication strategy deliberately avoids technical jargon, aiming to modernize traditional capital market infrastructure without overwhelming his audience.

Securitize Stocks, launched on the Solana blockchain, allows users to trade tokenized versions of major U.S. equities. The initial offering included 12 stocks, such as Apple, Nvidia, and Tesla. Jump Trading is providing liquidity for the platform. Securitize also has plans for future trading venues, including NYSE Digital ATS.

The company is working to expand its inventory of tradable tokenized stocks from the initial 12 to a target of 75 by the end of the year.

Securitize became a publicly listed company on the NYSE under the ticker SECZ on July 2, 2026, following a SPAC merger valued at approximately $1.25 billion. In the third quarter of 2026, the company reported that its tokenized assets under management exceeded $5 billion. This growth coincided with a record month for tokenized equity trading, with volumes reaching $15.6 billion in September 2026.

Financial analysts are also taking note. StoneX raised its price target on SECZ by 50% to $18 and projected that Securitize’s revenue could approach $200 million by 2028. Research suggests potential new revenue streams from trading and servicing fees associated with Securitize’s tokenized products.

Compliance is a cornerstone of Securitize’s strategy. The company asserts that its vision involves regulated tokenized equities that uphold shareholder rights, distinguishing itself from less defined synthetic exposures with uncertain legal standing.

For investors in SECZ, the near-term outlook is clear: monitor the expansion of the stock list from 12 to 75, the launch of NYSE Digital ATS and other trading venues, and the emergence of trading and servicing fees in reported revenue.
